About Austin
Austin has vast industry experience having worked at several of top firms in the financial services sector.Austin is a registered representative with the FINRA and holds the Series 7 General Securities Representative, Series 63 Uniform Securities Agent, Series 65 Uniform Investment Adviser licenses and the State of Pennsylvania license for Life, Health and Disability Insurance.
After serving his country in The United States Marine Corps Infantry, Austin's career began as a union ironworker where he joined his father and five uncles. In 1988 Mr. Dutton suffered a career ending injury on the job. It was his very strong work ethic and the skill set he began to develop as Student Government President at The College Of New Jersey that have led him to where he is today.
In 1997 Austin created the financial radio show "Investment Insights" which first aired on WBUX 1570 in Doylestown,Pa. When the station was sold to Holy Spirit Radio he moved his radio show to 1210 WPHT. It soon became a fixture in the very popular Sunday morning financial line up.
In the fall/winter of 2000 Austin was contracted to host a financial talkshow in NJ that was simulcast Saturday mornings in Princeton on WHWH 1350 AM and in Hunterdon County on WJHR 1040AM.
In January of 2001, WPHT changed its weekend format and "Investment Insights" found a new home on 950 WPEN. "Investment Insights" lead off the highest rated block of financial programming in the city of Philadelphia. Austin started the weekend talk forum every Saturday morning on 950 WPEN from 8-9 am. Austin's is exploring other options at this time.
Austin has regularly appeared on Comcast Newsmakers and has been a featured panelist on "It's Your Call" with Lynne Doyle on CN8. He has also appeared on "Sunday Morning Live" on WPVI channel 6 ABC, NBC NEWS10, WPHL the WB17 News and Philly TV NEWS.
In 1999 Austin introduced Kid$ense a national financial education program advocating children's financial literacy to the Central Bucks School District and has taught that program to elementary school children and their parents.
Austin has coached and mentored children through Boy Scouts, football, baseball, wrestling and soccer.
Austin is a "D" licensed soccer coach.
