College Planning (529 College Savings Accounts)
FOP members can save for their children's and grandchildren's continuing education by investing in a 529 savings plan*. Bridge Valley Financial Services, LLC as Investment Adviser Representatives of Newbridge Securities offer all Lodge 5 members the ability to invest in the CollegeAmerica® employer-sponsored 529 program-without a sales charge.
Portfolio Evaluation / Personal Retirement Planning Advice
FOP members can receive a portfolio evaluation or retirement planning evaluation through Bridge Valley Financial Services, free of charge. Only if you decide to continue to utilize our services will you be charged a fee.
Deferred Comp Updates
All Lodge members are eligible for free E-mail updates on the Mutual Funds that are available for investment in The City of Philadelphia’s Deferred Comp Plan.
On-Site Professional Services
FOP members can also take advantage of the opportunity to meet with a Financial Advisor; these initial meetings will be by appointment only and will be free of charge. Only if you decide to continue to utilize these professional services will you be charged a fee.
*The fees, expenses and features of 529 plans can vary from state to state. 529 plans involve investment risk, including the possible loss of funds. There is no guarantee a college-funding goal will be met. Earnings must be used to pay for qualified higher education expenses to be federally tax-free. The earnings portion of a nonqualified withdrawal will be subject to ordinary income tax at the recipient’s marginal rate and subject to a 10% penalty. By investing in a Plan outside your State of residence, you may lose any State tax benefits. 529 plans are subject to enrollment, maintenance and administration/management fees and expenses.
